Having Ellen work with us was a big relief throughout our home buying and escrow process. She was very helpful during our initial stages when we were only just putting an offer on our home, and she gave us good advice so that our offer would recieve more attention from the former owners of our home. The advice was to send a short letter about ourselves and why we wanted the home, and it ended up being the decisive factor when the previous owners accepted our offer. Ellen was also very attentive through the escrow process and made sure all the inspections and the appraisal were completed on schedule so that our escrow would not be delayed. One of the things in particular that made Ellen shine for us was her advice at a difficult point when we were dealing with our lender. At the time, our first lender was being difficult to work with, and we were having trouble meeting their particular requirements. We explained our situation to Ellen, and she ended up giving us the information on an alternate lender that lived in the county where our new home was located. That lender ended up being so much more helpful and supportive and guided us through the process. Ellen was also good at keeping up communication with us and making sure we were up to speed on our to do list as new tasks came along during escrow. She even worked as a liason between us and the previous owners to make sure we were both comfortable with arrangements during our transition process. Ellen has been lovely to work with and we’ve been very glad to have her at our backs as we worked to buy our first home.
